Hazel Dodd Biography

Hazel Dodd has been CAN's Finance Director since 2008, incorporating  HR from 2010.

Hazel is responsible for ensuring that CAN has an efficient and robust accounting and reporting structure to enable the executive team and trustees to make informed decisions. She also works closely with CAN's banks and development partners. Her key responsibility here is to make sure that maximum value is extracted from the work CAN does, so that benefits can be passed on to CAN's customers and partners in the sector. Within HR, Hazel is keen to ensure that CAN's small but entrepreneurial team are able to work in a supportive and rewarding culture.

Hazel brings valuable commercial experience to the role at CAN, having trained with Ernst and Young and worked in group reporting at BSkyB before moving within News Corporation to New York. After returning from New York Hazel worked for Cagney Plc prior to joining CAN.

She says:

Hazel is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and holds a BSc Honours in Economics and Business Economics from Southampton University.

Hazel is also a Non Executive Director of UnLtd - the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs and Trustee of the £100M Millennium Endowment
