In early March CAN will be opening a brand new CAN Mezzanine facility in Hounslow.
The premises will join the 3 other CAN Mezzanine locations in Old Street, Loman Street and Bristol to bring serviced office space, hot desk rentals, meeting room hire and more dedicated to social organisations.
Here’s an update from Kirstin Ross on what’s been happening over the last couple of weeks to get the premises ready for use…
The new premises are part of a major building refurbishment project and the last couple of weeks have seen the building contractors get all hands on deck to meet the phase 2 completion deadline. Works include:
- Partitioning, ceiling and joinery – this is now 99% complete and decoration is underway, it’s great to be able to get now start getting a real sense of the space and size of the rooms
- Main entrance doors to the new resource centre were fitted on 12th February
- A handover of the mechanical and electrical systems will be taking place at the end of this week to our CAN Mezzanine Operations Team
- From the start of week commencing 24th February the first 3 VCSE organisations [Citizens Advice Bureau, Hounslow Voluntary Support Services (incl. the Hate Crime Unit), and the Volunteer Centre] will be moving in and making the most of the new premises.
As you can see things are well on track to welcome public and visitors in early March through the doors of our newest CAN Mezzanine location.
More to follow next week!
