When you need to escape the fast pace of city living, heading to the park can offer some respite and relaxation, surrounded by nature. Whether on a lunch break, or in need of some after work decompression, there are several parks a short walk from our Borough, and Old Street offices. Here are some of our top recommendations.

Tanner Street Park
Location - Tanner St, London SE1 3GS
Reasons to visit – not only does Tanner Street Park offer scenic tree-lined paths for walking, but there are also a variety of activities to get involved in. Free tennis courts are available, for more information and to register to book a court, click here. If tennis isn’t your sport, then there are still plenty of green spaces and benches for lunching and picnicking with colleagues’, friends, or family.

Mint Street Park
Location - 14 Weller St, London SE1 1QU
Reasons to visit – Mint Street Park is just a 6-minute walk from our Borough office and is sure to be a summer favourite for any fitness enthusiasts, as it has a selection of outdoor gym equipment available. Not to mention, Train Dirty London HIIT classes on Monday and Wednesday mornings, (don’t worry, we have showers at the office!) There is also picnicking areas, a playground, and lovely walks for those not wanting to get a sweat on.

Nelson Square Park
Location - 44 Nelson Square, London SE1 0QA
Reasons to visit – great for a quick kick about with your colleagues, Nelson Square Park boasts a mini-football pitch as well as an outdoor gym, ping pong table and playground. There is of course also plenty of space to lunch, relax and unwind in the sunshine.

Parks accessible from the CAN Mezzanine Old Street office
The Old Street office is fortunate to be close-by to some sizeable green spaces with plenty of activities on offer. Our top two are:
Location - 188 New N Rd, London N1 6TA
Reasons to visit – Shoreditch Park is a popular destination for climbers, with its unique ‘art installation come climbing wall’. But this isn’t all that is available, with other activities including ping pong, volleyball, running routes and dog walking all popular activities. Also, this park is situated near the canal, offering a nice change of scenery for those after a leisurely walk along the water’s side. You can also attend Train Dirty Bootcamp on Tuesday and Thursday mornings both here or at Haggerston Park, then hit the office showers before you start your day.

Location - Yorkton St, London E2 8NH
Reasons to visit – Haggerston Park has so much to offer its hard to know where to start. You can visit the Hackney City farm and meet the resident goats, pigs, donkeys, sheep, and fowl. Book a slot in the multi-use games areas and try your hand at football, basketball, or tennis. Hit the ‘trim trail’ or athletics track for a lunchtime workout, or even test out the BMX track! As well as beautiful walks, picnic spaces, playgrounds, ponds, and conservation areas this park really does have something for everyone.
