The sun's out in London and it looks like it's here to stay! At a time like this, it is extra important to consider your organisation's health and wellbeing. Here are our top tips to stay cool, motivated and happy when working this summer:
1. Get outside
It's the ideal season to make the most of your lunch break and step outside to catch some rays! Walking has been proved to improve mood and prevent a variety of conditions including heart disease, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.
2. Keep hydrated
Let's be honest, whether you're taking the overground, underground or cycling, communting can get pretty sweaty over the summer. It is important to drinks lots of fluids to replenish any fluids lost. In the CAN team we like to use tea generator as a fun way to decide who gets the drinks in!
3. Eat well
Don't forget fruits and vegetables can help you stay hydrated too. There are plenty of berries in season during British summer- strawberries, raspberries, cherries etc. You can even get fruit delivered to your office.
4. Wear bright colours and loose clothing
Natural fabrics like cotton and linen are more breathable and will help you stay cool. Dark colours absorb the heat of the sun, so stick to lighter colours to stay as comfortable as possible during this heat.
5. Embrace rooftop facilities!
